Academician ZHANG Xuemin, chief scientist of Major National Research Project, was engaged in oncology research which was focused on the relationship between inflammation and tumorigenesis. His team identified a novel protein CUEDC2 palying a critical role in shut down mechanismof NF-κB pathway after inflammatory activation. He revealed the mechanism at the molecular level and received systemic innovation achievements.
Professor HAN Jiahuai devoted to the research of cell signaling transduction and study of signalpathway of stress inflammatory response at molecular, cell, and animal model levels. He was the first man to identify stress signal p38 gene and protein in the world.
CC Tan Life Science Industrialization Award went to CHEN Daijie, deputy dean of China State Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry.CyclosporinA is apreferredcurrent clinicalanti-rejectiondrugs.
