With over 20 years of experience in surgical pathology diagnosis and clinical pathology research, he specializes in the pathology of the lymphohematopoietic system, soft tissue, and male genitourinary system.

Academic Achievements and Impact
Dr. Wang has been dedicated to pathology teaching and research for over 20 years, supervising 15 master's and 7 doctoral students. He discovered and named new types of soft tissue tumors and lymphomas, including Inflammatory Monomorphic Undifferentiated Sarcoma and Helper Innate Lymphoid Cell Lymphoma. His research identified Cathepsin D's translocation as a key link between lysosomal and mitochondrial apoptosis pathways in drug-induced leukemia apoptosis. He found that neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer affects Her-2 immunohistochemical status but not gene amplification. He identified RSK4 as an independent prognostic factor in renal cell carcinoma and a key kinase in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma stem cell-related malignancy. He elucidated clinical and genetic features of various lymphomas. Dr. Wang has published over 100 SCI papers, with over 40 as first or corresponding author, and received approximately 1830 citations. He has been funded by six National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, authored three books, translated one, co-edited four, and contributed to four others.
