Academic Achievements and Impact

Focused on basic and clinical research in neurosurgery, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological tumors (gliomas, acoustic neuromas, meningiomas, pituitary tumors), movement disorders like Parkinson's disease, trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, and stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. Pioneered neuromodulation treatments for refractory neurological diseases, including deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's, essential tremor, and dystonia, spinal cord stimulation for vegetative state awakening, and chronic pain management, achieving leading national standards. Supervised over 30 doctoral and master's students. Received one second prize in Anhui Natural Science, two second prizes, and two third prizes in Anhui Science and Technology Awards. Published over 40 SCI papers, led two National Natural Science Foundation projects, one sub-project of the Ministry of Science and Technology's special project, and two central government-guided local science and technology innovation projects.
