Ph.D. Supervisor, second class professor, currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Geriatric Diseases at the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China (Anhui Provincial Hospital),director of the Engineering Research Centre of Elderly Health Products in Anhui Province. He is a Professor, Chief Pharmacist, and holds several key positions including President of the Anhui Evidence-Based Medicine Society, Member of the Clinical Drug Trials Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, Council Member of the Chinese Society of Biotechnology, and Standing Committee Member of the Pharmacogenomics Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society. He is also an editorial board member of several journals including *Chinese Journal of New Drugs*, *Biology*, *Chinese Journal of Geriatrics*, *China Pharmaceuticals*, and *Chinese Journal of Clinical Healthcare*. In 2020, he was received special allowance from Anhui Provincial Government. In 2009, he was selected as one of the first batch of academic and technical leaders in Anhui Province and is a member of the Anhui Provincial 115 Innovation Team.

Academic Achievements and Impact
Dr. Xu has dedicated many years to research in pharmacy, nano-drug formulations, pharmacology, and anti-inflammatory immunology. He has supervised over 60 Ph.D. and master's students. He has received seven Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards and was the first contributor to win the Second Prize of the Anhui Provincial Natural Science Award in 2020.
