Specially Appointed Professor, PhD Advisor, Researcher at the Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale. Graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Fudan University, and obtained her Master's and PhD degrees from San Diego State University and Nanjing Agricultural University, respectively. Joined USTC at the end of 2010, serving as a research assistant, assistant researcher, associate researcher, and researcher. Appointed as a specially appointed professor in November 2019 through USTC's Outstanding Talent Recruitment. She has a strong foundation in cryo-electron microscopy and complex biological macromolecular complexes. Over the past five years, she has published 10 first/corresponding author papers in high-impact journals such as Science (2017), Nature Communications (2016, 2018), and Cell Research (2014, 2019). She is the principal investigator for two National Natural Science Foundation projects and a key member of two major research programs by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2019, she received the Outstanding Youth Science Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation and the Outstanding Youth project funding from Anhui Province.
Main Research Interests
Using cryo-electron microscopy to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of early signal transduction of DNA double-strand breaks (DSB) and the dynamic assembly of the meiotic synaptonemal complex.
