Graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2010, and received a Ph.D. from USTC in 2017. In the same year, joined St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the USA for postdoctoral research under the guidance of National Academy of Sciences member, Dr. Douglas R. Green. Joined the School of Life Sciences and Medicine at USTC in July 2023. His primary research focuses on the impact of early events like asymmetric division after T cell activation on subsequent T cell fate and function. He has achieved a series of academic accomplishments, publishing multiple articles as the first author in renowned international journals such as Nature, Stem Cell Reports, and FASEB J, and has applied for two US patents related to CAR-T therapy.
Research Interests and Directions:
- Asymmetric division of CD8 T cells and the formation of memory T cells.
- Epigenetic and molecular mechanisms determining T cell fate, such as aging and exhaustion.
- Interactions between T cells and other cells in tumor and infection environments, and their impact on T cell fate.
- Differentiation of stem cells into T cells in vitro and optimization of related CAR-T immunotherapies.
